WVS & MSES students adopt barred owl

In an effort to share a project with both schools, Ms. Woodruff, librarian, worked with students at Wells Village and Middletown Springs Elementary, doing chores and schoolwork to earn this culmination to their owl unit; adopting a barred owl, Hartland, at the Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences (VINS). Their support of Hartland will ensure he continues to receive the best care possible. What an awesome achievement for the students, and a cool way to learn about Vermont native species! Thank you VINS and Ms. Woodruff for this awesome opportunity.
